South Carolina Brewers Guild
BBL works as general counsel for the South Carolina Brewers Guild in order to promote the craft beer industry throughout the state. Since coming on board in 2013, BBL has assisted the Guild on legislative wins such as the Pint Law, Stone Law, and Brewpub Law, which collectively have helped the state’s breweries thrive by increasing openings by over 500% and grow the economic benefit of the craft beer industry in the state by over $500M.

Upcountry Brewing Co.
BBL served as counsel to help Upcountry Brewing Company acquire Altamont Brewing in Asheville. The firm helped the company with the purchase, transition, and also with navigating the licensing changeover process with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau.
Southern Barrel Brewing Co.
BBL helped Southern Barrel Brewing Co. navigate the federal and state regulatory process with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau and SC Department of Revenue. In 2015, the brewery became the first licensed brewery with a kitchen function after the passage of the Stone Law, which allowed the on-site consumption of beer and wine at a brewery.
